In November 2024, I purchased a 2019 Peugeot 3008 with 89,000 km and a 6-month warranty from Göral Ümitköy Spoticar in Ankara. On the day I was supposed to pick up the car, they told me there was an oil seepage on the rocker cover gasket and that they would replace the gasket and deliver the car the next day. I agreed, assuming the issue would be properly resolved.
After driving only 2,000 km, I noticed the same oil leak again. Since the car was still under warranty, I took it to Göral Konya Yolu service, expecting them to fix it. However, the next day, they called me and said Spoticar warranty doesn’t cover the repair because the rocker cover is not considered a motor part. This is absurd!
Not only did they fail to fix the issue properly when I first purchased the car, but now they are refusing to take responsibility, telling me I must pay for the repair out of pocket. A rocker cover is part of the engine, yet they are claiming it isn’t. The dealership clearly cut corners on the initial repair, and now they want to push the cost onto me.
I have already sent a legal notice through a notary, and I will continue to fight for my rights. Spoticar and Göral, you need to honor your warranty and fix the issue properly! Buyers, beware—this dealership does not stand behind its guarantees!
