Skechers BOBS Bamina Shoes Developed Holes After Only a Few Months

On June 28, 2025, I purchased a pair of Skechers BOBS Bamina shoes, size 8, from the Marlin Store at StarCity Outlet for ₺3,919. The shoes were used for only approximately 3–4 months and no more than 2–3 days per week, yet significant holes and tears developed on the sides and back of both shoes in a short time. In particular, the tear on the front side of the shoe clearly shows that such severe deterioration within such a limited period of normal use is not normal for a product of this brand. On May 1, 2026, I returned the shoes to the Marlin Store at StarCity Outlet for inspection. Approximately ten days later, I received a message stating that the damage was considered “user-related” and the product was returned to me. When I went to the store to collect the shoes, they were handed back to me in the same bag I had provided, and there was no indication that a serious or detailed inspection had been carried out, despite the obvious signs of what appears to be a manufacturing defect. This situation is unacceptable, especially considering Skechers’ reputation as a quality brand. It is not reasonable for multiple holes and tears to occur in such a short time under normal usage conditions and then be attributed to user error. Due to the rapid and abnormal deterioration of the shoes and the unconvincing inspection process, I kindly request that the Skechers BOBS Bamina shoes in question be replaced with a new pair.
