ShortMax Keeps Charging My Card After I Deleted My Account
I purchased a weekly subscription through the ShortMax application. The subscription was started on May 31, 2026. However, on June 5, 2026, I completely deleted my account and stopped using the service. Despite this, as of June 14, 2026, recurring charges are still being deducted from my Akbank card ending in 1368.
After noticing that charges continued even though my account and associated subscription had been deleted, I contacted my bank, Akbank, for assistance. Unfortunately, the bank informed me that there was nothing they could do regarding the matter and that they were unable to provide any meaningful support or explanation.
I do not accept the fact that my card continues to be charged without my knowledge or consent after my account was deleted. Once an account has been permanently removed and the service is no longer being used, recurring billing should cease immediately. The continued withdrawals from my card have caused both financial inconvenience and frustration.
I request that ShortMax immediately refund all charges that were collected after my account was deleted. In addition, I ask that my subscription be fully canceled, all of my payment information be permanently removed from ShortMax’s systems, and any connection between my card and the service be terminated without delay.
I also request written confirmation that my account, subscription, and payment details have been completely removed and that no future charges will be made to my card.
