I made a reservation for a friend of mine at the Sheraton Baku Intourist hotel via booking.com. I entered my credit card information into booking.com and confirmed the reservation. However, when he went to the hotel, they asked for cash and did not allow him to stay, saying that they did not charge his credit card. I also cancelled the reservation via booking.com, but when I saw that the money had been withdrawn from my credit card, I forwarded it to my friend. When my friend went to the hotel again, they made a statement saying that they only blocked it but could not withdraw money, that they did not have a mail order service and that booking.com had withdrawn the money, but my credit card receipt shows that the money had been withdrawn by this hotel. When I filed a complaint with booking.com and requested a refund, they made excuses and did not support my process. We were victimized, not only could we not stay at the hotel, but our money had been taken, and they are not refunding the money.
