Shake Shack Akasya Served Spoiled Meat That Made Children Sick
On June 4, 2026, at 4:43 PM, I brought visiting children to your Akasya location with great excitement for burgers because we had previously been very satisfied with your Şaşkınbakkal branch. We ordered a total of 5 burgers, 5 fries, 2 Cokes, 2 Sprites, and 1 ayran, paying $127 with a card registered under the name Fatma G********. We sat down and ate at the restaurant.
While eating the burgers, the children's expressions suddenly changed and twisted in discomfort. Suspecting the meat, I smelled it and noticed a slight off-odor, so I personally avoided eating the burger. However, out of their love for burgers, the children finished their food. When they were done, they asked me, "This didn't taste good, why is it like this?" and I had no clear answer to give them.
After returning home, two of the children began vomiting in the evening. I considered taking them to the hospital, but my husband advised against it at that moment after they vomited and felt slightly relieved following a glass of ayran. Currently, one child has recovered, but the other remains sick in bed. This situation has deeply saddened me, especially as a 75-year-old grandmother who set aside a quarter of her monthly retirement pension just to make the children happy. If it had merely been a tasteless meal, we might have ignored it, but the illness the children suffered has deeply affected me.
My receipt number is 67, and my order number is 167. Throughout this process, my sole priority has been the children's health and seeking compensation for this ordeal. Therefore, I kindly request a full refund for only the 5 burgers. I am not requesting a refund for the other items. I will view the fulfillment of this refund as a demonstration of your brand's professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction.
