Scribd Charged 72€ in Unused Subscription Fees After Accidental Sign-Up

In October 2024, I accidentally signed up for Scribd and only used the account during the first month to access one book. That initial 12€ fee I accept and do not dispute. However, because the account stayed active, Scribd continued charging me every month for the next six months — about 12€ each time — totaling 72€ in unfair subscription fees. Altogether, 84€ was withdrawn from my İş Bankası credit card, even though I only used the service once.
When I realized the situation, I immediately contacted Scribd customer service. They refunded only the June 2025 charge, but refused to return the rest of the 72€ taken across the previous months when I never used the account. My account is registered under s***********@gmail.com**.
This is the first time I have experienced such an issue, and I find it unacceptable that a platform continues billing for unused services. I demand a full refund of the 72€ in unauthorized subscription fees and expect Scribd to improve transparency in how subscriptions are managed so others do not face the same problem.
