Samsung Demanded Costly Repair Right After My TV Warranty Ended
About 2 years ago, I bought a 55'' QLED TV from Samsung. The most important reason I chose Samsung was that the brand was good, including after-sales service, and that I could use it for many years. The device warranty has ended up for about 1.5 months ago, and today I had a problem with my device. I called the call center, they directed me to the service, after a lot of effort, they said that there was a problem with the main board and that I would have to pay about 1/3 of the brand new price of the TV for the part. Although the problem was not solved, I also paid the service fee for the service that I had. I also told Samsung Türkiye through the call center that I did not want to pay such a high amount for a TV whose warranty had just expired, that the fault was not a user error, and that they should at least include it under warranty for once or give a discount. They just called me back and said that they could not do anything about the situation. A friend of mine experienced a similar situation. As soon as the warranty of Samsung products expires, they can cause problems with critical parts and charge you exorbitant prices for repairs. I will never buy Samsung again. I warn everyone, especially when it comes to TVs, there is a perception of quality. However this is not true. I will also forward the situation to Consumer Rights.
