Samsung 50TU8000 TV Screen Failed After Less Than a Year and They Won’t Fix It
We purchased a Samsung 50TU8000 model TV in 2021, and before a year had passed, the right side of the screen began to darken. Due to this issue, we created a service request and sent it in for repair, but it was returned without any action being taken. At the time, we didn’t pay much attention and continued using it as it was. However, two days ago, the screen started flickering and then shut down. Afterward, the TV kept turning on and off, stuck on the Smart TV screen, and wouldn’t fully turn on. From what I’ve researched on forums, this model is said to have a chronic issue. I made another service request, and the issue was inspected, with the service team quoting an estimated cost of ₺12,000-14,000 for a screen replacement. Naturally, I didn’t accept this, as I believe the product is defective. I’ve always been satisfied with Samsung, and most of my devices are from this brand. However, if this issue isn’t resolved and I am left at a loss, my perception of the brand will change. I am requesting that, at least this time, the problem be resolved free of charge, either by repairing or replacing the device.
