Samsung 50RU7440 TV  Chronic Screen Problem

December 7, 2023 12:40 AM38

as someone who's been a loyal Samsung fan for years, I gotta say I'm pretty bummed about this ongoing problem with the 50RU7440 TV's screen slipping. there's a big issue with how they're making these TVs as this problem exist in all of these models.  The crazy high repair prices from Samsung services, which are basically the same as buying a new TV, are totally unfair and put way too much pressure on customers' wallets. I really hope Samsung realizes how serious this situation is and does something quick to fix the production issues causing these problems over and over again. a fair and reasonable solution is what we deserve and their responsibility!!

The process has been ongoing for about 20 days. Upon inspection, it was reported that the problem was due to a panel malfunction and that the panel needed to be replaced. A price of 11,750 TL was quoted for the panel replacement. When I objected to the price, a 30% discount was offered. While I was considering this offer, I was informed that they did not have the panel in stock and could not repair my TV, but instead, they would give me a new TV if I paid the panel fee. I accepted this offer and went to the authorized service center to make the payment. Meanwhile, I was insisted to pay in cash, and not by credit card or bank transfer, which was completely ridiculous. While waiting for the new TV, I was called again and told that the panel had been found and my TV would be repaired. I do not want to have a chronically faulty panel reinstalled. When I asked for my money back, I was told that I could not cancel. I have another brand LED TV at home that has been working flawlessly for 11 years. The Samsung TV broke down on its own in 4 years. Most likely, the lifespan of this new panel will also be 3-4 years. The complaint site "Şikayetvar" is filled with complaints about Samsung panel malfunctions. The panels produced in recent years turn out to be chronically faulty. Three of us friends bought the same model at the same time, and two of our TVs broke down due to the same malfunction. I do not want to experience the same thing again. Either give me a new TV or refund my money.
