Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Overheating, Shutting Down, and Throttling After 6 Years
I've been actively using the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite I purchased from Vatan Bilgisayar in 2020 ever since. Starting around January 1, 2024, my device began experiencing serious hardware problems even during basic everyday tasks. In particular, while playing games or watching videos, the tablet throws overheating warnings, automatically dims the screen, and occasionally shuts down without warning.
During diagnostic tests I ran through Samsung Members, the battery health was reported as "weak," the charge drains very quickly, and the device runs hotter than normal while charging. In those same tests, I kept receiving repeated error alerts related to the camera, microphone, and core system software. Under processor load, the system continuously throttles performance to protect itself, which makes the device nearly unusable — especially for gaming and video playback.
I believe that after roughly six years, this device has largely reached the end of its hardware lifespan, has exceeded safe and efficient usage limits, and is struggling to run modern applications properly. For that reason, I'm requesting that my tablet be thoroughly inspected by an authorized Samsung service center, that a comprehensive diagnostic be performed covering the battery and all other hardware components, and that an official report be issued at the end — clearly stating whether the device is still fit for safe use or has reached end of life.
I respectfully ask that the hardware issues I've experienced be clearly identified, that I be properly informed and guided based on the inspection results, and that — if necessary — solutions or recommendations regarding the hardware components be provided to me.
