Samsonite Antalya Airport Store Customer Service Complaint
While shopping with my two young daughters at your Samsonite store in the domestic terminal of Antalya Airport around midday, I experienced an extremely uncomfortable interaction with one of your employees. One of my daughters was holding a breadstick snack and eating it while walking around. She is a young child and was naturally active, but if anything had spilled or made a mess, I would have had no problem cleaning it up myself.
One of your store employees warned my daughter in a harsh tone by saying, “It’s spilling.” When my daughter did not understand what she meant, the employee then said, “I’m telling you it’s spilling, but she doesn’t understand,” using a tone that I found hurtful and disrespectful toward both my child and me. If my children need to be warned about something, I believe this should be communicated through me as their mother and done respectfully. I certainly do not believe that a store employee has the right to address my child in such a direct and disrespectful manner, and I felt so uncomfortable that I had to leave the store.
I also later heard an allegation that this employee is romantically involved with the store manager and therefore supposedly feels free to behave however she wants in the store. I want to emphasize that if employees are being given unlimited freedom to behave inappropriately based on such a personal relationship, that would be unacceptable in a customer service environment.
I am disappointed that this kind of behavior occurred at a corporate brand like Samsonite. I request that the company be made aware of what happened, that the employee's communication and behavior toward customers, particularly children, be properly reviewed, and that appropriate steps be taken to prevent a similar situation from happening again.
