Salomon XA Pro V8 GTX W Shoes Warranty Refusal
I purchased the Salomon XA Pro V8 GTX W shoes from the Zagna Outdoor store on May 7, 2023, for my wife. After approximately 6 months of use, the shoes developed openings on the sides. We returned them to the same store for warranty evaluation. About 10 days later, the store informed us that the issue was product-related and offered a gift voucher equivalent to the product's price for a new purchase.
Upon trying to get a replacement, we discovered the same model was unavailable. To make matters worse, we had to pick a different product, agreeing to pay the price difference. Despite the high inflation and rapidly increasing prices in our country, we were offered a discount based on the price we paid for the faulty shoes seven months ago. This meant paying the equivalent of another pair's price for a new one.
Did I pay this money for Salomon's mistake? They should have either provided the same shoes or issued a gift voucher based on the current price, not the price from seven months ago. Salomon made the error, but we ended up paying the price.
