Ryanair Flight Cancellation Not Compensated
Buckle up for a travel fiasco! On October 20, 2023, my Palermo to Pisa flight (nfwwvı, FR2655) was canceled less than 24 hours before takeoff, leaving me high and dry. Ryanair's attempt to offer an alternative flight from Catania to Pisa was a colossal failure.
Despite multiple attempts through the app, changing my travel plan proved impossible. The email suggested seeking assistance from the airport staff, so I rushed to Catania at 5:00 am. To my dismay, the airport official claimed no authority to make changes and left me stranded with a canceled flight and a ruined connection.
In desperation, I rerouted through Air Serbia from Catania to Belgrade, eventually flying Pegasus Airlines from Belgrade to Bodrum two days later. The flight cancellation forced me into extra expenses—accommodation, additional transportation, and meals.
While the extra costs are manageable, my pleas for compensation for the return flights remain unanswered. Emails go unanswered, and neither the website nor the app provides a platform for my grievances.
I'm seeking reimbursement for the following extra expenses:
Catania – Belgrade via Air Serbia: €112.76
Belgrade - Bodrum via Pegasus Air: €278.88
For a total of €391.64. Ryanair, hear my plea, and let's fix this travel disaster! - Emin D***
