I used Resumecoach’s CV builder service as a one‑time use and paid $0.95 on October 22, 2025, clearly with the understanding that this was a single payment and not a recurring subscription. I was never informed that I was signing up for any 14‑day trial or subscription, and I did not knowingly agree to recurring charges. On January 6, 2026, completely out of nowhere, I discovered a $19.99 charge from Resumecoach on my Banco Guayaquil account in Ecuador. This charge appears as a subscription fee, even though I never subscribed to any plan and never received any email confirmation, receipts, or warnings about a subscription or renewal. If there truly had been a 14‑day renewal as your terms supposedly state, the charge should have appeared 14 days after October 22, 2025, not more than a month later in January, which makes this situation even more questionable. When I went to your website to cancel, the cancellation button did not work properly and redirected me to a resume review instead, making the cancellation process confusing and difficult. The only way to proceed seemed to be through your AI chat support, which is not a straightforward or transparent way to cancel. When I contacted the AI support, I was told that I could not get my money back because I had agreed to the terms when I paid, even though I only intended and believed I was paying for a one‑time CV use. I also did not receive any emails about my payment, my supposed subscription, or any renewal, and I cannot even see who your payment provider is, which prevents me from contacting them directly. My Resumecoach account and payment are under the email address: jaecobbenja***@outlook.com. I request an immediate refund of the unauthorized $19.99 charged on January 6, 2026, and the immediate cancellation of any subscription that has been activated without my clear and informed consent. I also expect written confirmation that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be made to my Banco Guayaquil card.
