Rentalcars Overcharged Me for My Car Rental at Frankfurt Airport
On January 16, 2025, I rented a car from https://www.rentalcars.com to be picked up at Frankfurt Airport. I paid ₺8,237.34 as the rental fee, approximately €221. According to the information on the website, the rental company was supposed to charge a €900 deposit. However, at pick-up, the rental company charged me €772 instead. I explained the situation to Rentalcars customer service, but they claim the additional charge was due to my travel to Belgium, apart from Germany. However, neither the contract nor the invoice mentions such a charge. In my message to the website, I stated: "Nowhere on the invoice does it state that the €72 fee is for crossing into another country. I have been overcharged by €72. You received €221 from me but paid Weego €191, leaving a €30 difference. Adding €42 in taxes, the total overcharge is €72. There was no clause about extra taxation when I rented the car. I request that you contact Weego and ensure a refund of the extra €72 charged to me."
