On November 3, 2024, while driving my 2021 Renault Clio on the O-3 highway, my car suddenly burst into flames without any prior issues or warning lights. My family and I barely escaped the car in time, saving our lives by mere seconds. My car was regularly serviced at an authorized service center, was still under warranty, and had only 30,000 kilometers on it. Just a month prior, the vehicle had undergone maintenance and was declared problem-free, with all supporting documents available. According to the fire department's report, which extinguished the blaze, the cause of the fire was determined to be electrical. I reported the situation to Renault and provided all the necessary documents and information. Renault later responded, stating that their team had inspected the car and found that a non-original part had been added to the cooling system, voiding the warranty. However, this claim is completely untrue, as my car was entirely under warranty and not a single unauthorized part had been installed. Moreover, the car's hood and engine area were completely burned to ashes, making it impossible to determine such a claim. The company is making baseless excuses to avoid responsibility. Further research revealed that other vehicles of the same brand and model in different cities have also caught fire without any faults or prior issues, and Renault similarly failed to address those cases. On the day of the incident, the car doors locked, and my family and I could have died trapped inside. The strongest evidence of this is that the car doors remain locked even now. I still owe payments on this car, which I have not used for 10 months, and yet, despite the severity of my suffering, Renault refuses to take responsibility. I will initiate the necessary legal processes and share videos and photos with all media outlets to raise awareness about these cars catching fire without cause, urging the public not to purchase them. I am filing a complaint against Renault for failing to stand behind their vehicles and for their lack of accountability.
