On September 4, 2025, I sent €1,260 through Remitly using my credit card (Reference No: R58 9****77). The transfer was guaranteed to arrive in my Akbank account (last 4 digits: 4978) on September 8, 2025. However, as of today, September 8, the money has still not arrived in my account.
During this process, I contacted Remitly customer service multiple times, but each time I only received automated responses telling me to “wait three more days.” No concrete solution was provided, and no refund process was initiated. There have been no blocks or security alerts on either my Remitly account or my Akbank account.
Because the transfer has not been completed, my money is currently missing, and I am experiencing financial loss. I demand a full refund of my transfer from Remitly.
I would also like to warn others so they don’t face the same problem:
Always keep transfer receipts and screenshots as proof.
If you experience a similar issue, report it immediately to the official consumer protection authorities.
