Media Markt Konya M1 Real Delivers Botched Repair on Remington AS8810 Air Styler

On July 12, 2026, I purchased a Remington AS8810 Keratin Protect Air Styler from the Media Markt store in Konya M1 Real AVM. Within less than a month of normal use, a bristle on the large brush attachment broke, forcing me to submit the device for warranty repair on August 3, 2026.
The device was returned from authorized service in a severely degraded condition. Although service documentation claimed the large brush attachment was replaced, the box contained two small-diameter attachments instead—neither of which mount properly onto the device handle. Furthermore, the motor's rotation mechanism was damaged during service, leaving the unit performing far worse than when submitted. When I contacted Media Markt customer service to report this botched repair and request a resolution, representatives improperly deflected all responsibility, claiming store decisions depend entirely on the technical service center.
Under Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, the seller shares joint legal liability (müteselsil sorumluluk) with the importer/manufacturer for delivering defective goods and failing to perform proper warranty repairs. Delivering mismatched attachments and returning a unit with impaired functionality constitutes a clear statutory defect.
I demand that Media Markt and Remington Turkey issue a full refund of the purchase price. Alternatively, I demand an immediate replacement with a brand-new, unopened, factory-sealed unit.
