ReelShort Misled Me With “Watch Free” Ads but Forced Subscription

I would like to share an issue I experienced while watching content titled “King of Weapons” on the ReelShort app around 3:45 PM on February 3, 2025. Your app advertises across social media and other platforms with the claim “watch everything for free.” Trusting this statement, I opened the content.

In the past, I had watched similar content on other apps only up to a certain point and then stopped. However, because ReelShort specifically advertised “completely free,” I assumed I would be able to watch the entire content from beginning to end at no cost. Even though I continued by watching ads, I eventually reached a point where the only option to continue was to subscribe and pay, effectively forcing me to make a payment.

I do not believe it is fair or honest to advertise something as “completely free” and then require users to pay after a certain point. I am willing to watch ads, but it should be clearly stated upfront if the content is paid or only partially free. I request that your app’s advertisements and content presentation be made clear and transparent in a way that does not mislead users, and that phrases like “completely free,” which create a deceptive impression, be corrected.
