I am writing to raise a serious complaint regarding an unauthorized annual charge on my Prezi Plus subscription and the refusal to refund it despite clear evidence that I did not actively continue or use the service after my trial. My 14-day trial started on 25/12/2025. After this trial period, I did not continue to use Prezi, and according to Prezi’s own logs, they can see that I have not been actively using the account. Despite this, on 12/01/2026, I was suddenly billed $216 for an annual Prezi Plus subscription, without my clear and willing confirmation to continue with a paid annual membership. I only became aware of this charge on 13/01/2026 when I checked my credit card spending history and noticed a $216 jump, which immediately stood out because this is around my weekly market spending in my country. I had never expected Prezi to bill me annually all of a sudden in this way, especially when I had not been using the service and had not knowingly agreed to an annual renewal. As soon as I noticed the charge, I contacted Prezi support to request cancellation and a refund. They responded that they could not refund me because I had sent my complaint email after they had billed me. In other words, they acknowledged the process but still chose to keep the payment, effectively putting me in a handcuffed position by saying “you had sent your complaint mail to renewal after we billed you” and offering no alternative solution or goodwill gesture. I find this approach extremely unfair and customer-unfriendly, given that they can clearly see from their own logs that I did not use the service after the trial ended and that I did not willingly choose to enter into an annual paid membership. I am requesting a full refund of the $216 that was charged on 12/01/2026 and the immediate cancellation of any ongoing or future renewals for this Prezi Plus subscription. I expect this situation to be reviewed with common sense and fairness, taking into account the lack of usage, the unclear transition from trial to paid annual plan, and the fact that I contacted support promptly after noticing the charge.
