Preply Teacher Missed All Lessons and I Didn’t Get a Refund

On December 14, I purchased an 8-lesson subscription on Preply. However, the teacher I booked never joined the lessons at the scheduled times, and despite messaging them multiple times, I received no response at all. As a result, I was forced to cancel all of my planned lessons.

Even though I canceled the lessons, no refund was issued, nor was any credit added to my account. I lost both my money and the time and motivation I invested in this process. In this regard, Preply has caused me serious inconvenience and harm.

When I contacted Preply support about this issue, I found that their support process is extremely slow. Responses come hours later, and these delays only prolong the problem I’m experiencing. The platform’s interface is also very user-unfriendly, which made it difficult to track the process and prevented me from finding a clear solution.

I request a full refund of the amount I paid and that the funds for my unused lessons, which were never credited to my account in any form, be returned to me as soon as possible. I also expect Preply to improve teacher oversight and customer support processes to prevent similar issues from happening again.
