Philips Lumea SC2007/00 IPL: Charging Malfunction & Unhelpful Service

I purchased a Philips Lumea SC2007/00 IPL device, but it will not charge. The technical service said it couldn't be repaired and offered a discount on a new one. They will not reveal the price unless I agree to purchase a new one. I contacted customer service, but they refused to provide a repair estimate. If you're trying to sell me something, I need to know how much it costs. Why sell a broken product without mentioning it? When the warranty expires, it goes straight to the landfill. I wouldn't have bought it if you had been honest. They won't even reveal the price of the new one. I'm not sure what to make of this company; it's a farce. I demand that my dissatisfaction be addressed.
