My Peugeot 3008 Timing Chain Snapped at 135000 Km Despite Service

I am the owner of a 2019 model Peugeot 3008, and despite having completed all regular service maintenance, the timing chain broke at just 135,000 km. When I contacted the headquarters, they refused to provide any support, claiming the service period had passed and the vehicle was out of warranty. Yet when I asked them to specify which maintenance was done and at what mileage, they couldn’t even provide an answer. To make matters worse, the vehicle had just come out of service nine days earlier, during which I had the full timing set replaced and paid a maintenance fee of ₺42,000. A car that has just left service should not suffer a major failure like this, and yet no one is taking responsibility. The service center told me they recommend changing the timing chain at 160,000 km, while the headquarters says it should be changed at 110,000 km—but no one had informed me at all. This chain should last at least 200,000 km, but it failed due to what is clearly a chronic issue. And it's not just the 1.2 PureTech engine that has problems; the 1.5 diesel EAT engine also shows serious faults. Peugeot refuses to stand behind its vehicles. Even the front grille rusted, and they brushed it off. If you don’t want to risk at least ₺200,000 in engine damage from an eccentric chain failure, I strongly advise against buying a Peugeot.
