On September 13, 2025, I booked a car rental through Pegasus and CarTrawler, reservation number TR850226730, for pick-up at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. The reservation was for a Hyundai i20 or similar economy vehicle, and I paid ₺5,122.78 in full with my personal credit card, which is under my own name.
Shortly after booking, I was informed that the reservation would have to be canceled because the credit card used was allegedly not in the driver’s name. This was not true, as the card I used is indeed in my name. Nevertheless, within about 10 minutes of the booking, I canceled the reservation as instructed.
To my shock, I was told that only ₺275 would be refunded out of the ₺5,122.78 I had paid, even though I never picked up the vehicle and canceled immediately. I contacted customer service via WhatsApp, but they confirmed the same unfair response—that only ₺275 would be returned.
This is the first time I have ever experienced such an issue, and I find it completely unacceptable. Since the reservation was canceled almost instantly and no service was used, I demand a full refund of ₺5,122.78 to my credit card without deductions.
