Pegasus Flight PC437 – Flight Attendant’s Rude Behavior Was Unacceptable
On February 17, I boarded Pegasus Flight PC437 from Chișinău to Istanbul through the rear entrance of the plane. As I stepped inside, I encountered a flight attendant with an unprofessional and disrespectful attitude.
Instead of welcoming passengers, she visibly scanned my daughter from head to toe and then did the same to me, avoiding eye contact and completely ignoring our presence. No greeting, no acknowledgment—nothing. I assumed her job was to welcome passengers, yet she stood there acting as if we were invisible.
Despite this, I still said "hello" in an attempt to break the awkward silence, but she did not even bother to respond. As I moved past her, I remarked, “She didn’t greet us, nor did she return our greeting.” To my surprise, she snapped back loudly and aggressively, saying, “Excuse me, ma’am, did you say something? I didn’t hear you!”
I responded, “Exactly! You didn’t hear because you didn’t acknowledge us. Isn’t your job to welcome passengers?” At that point, she fell silent.
I have flown with Pegasus nearly 100 times, and this is the first time I have experienced such unprofessional behavior from a crew member. This is completely unacceptable customer service. Pegasus needs to properly train its staff in human relations, psychology, and stress management to prevent incidents like this in the future. I expect a response and action on this matter!
