Pegasus Flight Cancel Chaos! Reimbursement Denied Despite Reasonable Expenses
On December 3, 2023, my Pegasus flight from Munich was canceled due to weather conditions. Despite many flights departing the same day, I was forced to stay in Munich for two additional days because the next available flight was on December 5th. The call center assured me that reasonable expenses would be promptly reimbursed. On December 6th, I opened a case to claim compensation for my expenses, with reference number 09547131. The turnaround time for closing the case was stated to be 15 days. However, on December 19th, Pegasus informed me that they were not at fault and would not make any payment. It's been over two months, and I have yet to receive any reimbursement. I've contacted the call center multiple times and sent emails. I witnessed others on the same flight receiving their compensation. Two months later, they contacted me, saying, "Your documents are not readable; please resend." They claimed the documents are being reviewed and translated because they are in German. Apparently, they don't have a German-speaking staff member. Furthermore, they stated that if alcohol is mentioned in the documents, they won't make any payment. I advise against getting into a dispute with Pegasus. I demand immediate reimbursement of my incurred expenses.
