Pegasus Airlines Closed The Terminal Before Takeoff
On October 15, 2023, at 10:20 AM, during the Pegasus Istanbul to Skopje flight, despite checking in an hour and a half before the scheduled departure, they declared the check-in closed and denied boarding. This applied not only to us but to several other passengers as well. An airport official cited oversold seats as the reason for this situation. However, instead of rectifying Pegasus's mistake, they demanded an extra payment of approximately 10,000 TL and sold us tickets for the 6:00 PM flight. Even after explaining the situation to different officials and seeking assistance, we were ridiculed and accused of fabricating the incident. Boarding for the 6:00 PM flight commenced at 5:45 PM. They confined us to the airbridge for over 10 minutes, causing discomfort and, in some cases, near fainting due to poor ventilation. When passengers expressed their frustration, an official retorted that keeping passengers on the airbridge expedited the boarding process. Our flight eventually took off around 6:20 p.m. In addition to the extra charge, we were also burdened with the pre-paid non-refundable airport taxi and endured a 10-hour ordeal. I'm submitting this information in the hope that you can address my grievances on this matter.
