Pegasus Airlines Baggage Policy Makes No Sense for Families
My wife and I are currently at Venice Airport, trying to board our Pegasus Airlines flight to Sabiha Gökçen. Since we booked our tickets separately, we were given two different PNRs, but we are a married couple traveling together.
Each of us has a 12 kg baggage allowance, so we packed our belongings in a single suitcase, which is under the 24 kg total limit. However, at check-in, Pegasus refused to accept the shared suitcase, simply because our bookings were separate. Instead, they forced us to repack and check in two separate suitcases—even though a single suitcase would be more convenient for both us and the airline!
This policy is completely irrational and unnecessarily stressful. Forcing families to separate their belongings just because of different PNRs is nothing but an inconvenience for passengers. Not only does this cause extra hassle, but it also adds unnecessary baggage to the flight.
