On the morning of August 19 at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, I experienced a major issue with my Pegasus flight, PNR 13M8M3. During baggage drop-off, although the total weight for three people was calculated together, I was forced to take back two of my suitcases on the grounds of excess weight, and the baggage tag for another was canceled. Yet my baggage tag was correct, and I had weighed all my suitcases in advance; still, I was told to cancel the tag. When I tried to reprocess it, I was told check-in time was over. After being unnecessarily directed to several different points, I was finally told I could deliver my bag at the aircraft entrance by paying ₺1000, which I accepted. However, at security, despite my suitcase going to the aircraft hold where liquids are normally not checked, my bag was subjected to liquid control and many of my items were thrown away. Throughout this process, I repeatedly stated that my suitcase was too large for the cabin, yet no help was provided. Due to all these disruptions, I was not allowed to board the plane, even though I was at the gate at 06:06 for a flight with gate closing time at 06:05. I was left stranded with my baby, and all of my baby’s essentials, including diapers and formula, were in the other luggage. The stress caused me to feel unwell, yet staff, despite witnessing this, did not offer any assistance. Additionally, the employees at the ticket sales desk were extremely indifferent and disrespectful, and I even witnessed them insulting passengers before me. As a result of all this, despite buying my original ticket at a 40% discount, I had to pay a high price for a new ticket, making my situation worse. I believe the fault lies entirely with Pegasus. I request compensation for my financial loss and inconvenience, reimbursement of the price difference I had to pay for the new ticket, and appropriate action to be taken regarding the staff involved.
