Hello, my wife and I purchased tickets from Pegasus Airlines for July 7, 2025 (flights PC551 and PC1099), and for the return on July 11, 2025 (flights PC1100 and PC550), traveling from Yerevan to Istanbul, then Istanbul to Madrid, and back. Since our tickets didn’t include checked baggage, we each only had a 5kg backpack and an 8kg cabin suitcase. At Yerevan Airport, I was charged €24, which I paid by card; at Madrid Airport, there was no charge at all. However, at Sabiha Gökçen Airport in Istanbul, I was unexpectedly charged €50 in cash. How can two cabin-size bags under 8 kg be treated so inconsistently across three airports? Is this a result of staff error, or does it reflect discrimination or abuse?
