I Paid Extra After Pegasus Blocked Online Check-In for SAW–Athens Flight

I attempted to complete the online check-in for my Pegasus Airlines flight from Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) to Athens, scheduled for 07:55. Despite multiple tries, the system only returned the message “Check the information,” without allowing me to proceed. Believing I could handle check-in at the airport, I arrived one hour before the flight. To my surprise, the check-in counter was already closed, and I was told I could not board.

What makes this worse is that Pegasus’s website states passengers who cannot check in online should arrive 3 hours early, but it does not say desk check-in will be denied. There was no clear warning that passengers unable to check in online would be completely blocked from boarding within an hour of departure.

As a result, I had no choice but to pay ₺900 to change my ticket to the 17:55 flight the same day. On top of that, I was told cabin baggage capacity was full and had to pay an additional ₺600 for checked baggage. I’ve now paid ₺1500 extra for an issue caused entirely by Pegasus's unclear and inconsistent check-in system.

To add insult to injury, the online check-in eligibility page shows both SAW and Athens as supported locations. Yet it didn’t work for me at all. This isn’t the first time Pegasus has caused me stress and unexpected charges—especially related to online check-in and baggage.

I demand a full refund of the additional ₺1500 I had to pay due to Pegasus’s system failure and vague guidance. This kind of negligence and disregard for passengers' time and money is unacceptable.
