OtterBox Defender iPhone 13 Pro Max Inner Frame Breaks in Six Months

Approximately half a year back, I bought an OtterBox Defender for my iPhone 13 Pro Max to keep it safe. But yesterday, my phone dropped from my desk at work. It was just half a meter tall. The plastic frame on the inside broke after 6 months of regular use. This should not have happened; my phone could have been damaged. OtterBox will likely take care of the damage, but my trust is gone. I really trusted this brand to keep me safe. I'm going to start choosing cheaper phone cases from now on.
