Otelz Took Payment but Hotel Asked Me to Pay Again
I made reservation No. 5641192 through the Otelz website for Ankara Elit Palas Hotel, with a check-in date of June 24, under the name A** K*****.** The full amount of $242 was charged to my credit card in a single payment. However, because the payment was apparently not transferred to the hotel, my guests experienced serious inconvenience during check-in.
When my guests arrived at the hotel at around 9:00 p.m. on June 24, the hotel staff stated that they could not see any payment from Otelz and requested payment again. The hotel also said they could not reach Otelz at that time. I repeatedly tried to contact Otelz customer service, but my calls were not answered. Since my guests were in Ankara for surgery and had to stay overnight, I had no choice but to pay the hotel again.
As a result, I paid twice for the same reservation: once through Otelz by credit card and once directly to the hotel. Due to Otelz failing to transfer the payment to the hotel on time and being unreachable when urgent support was needed, I request an immediate refund of the $242 charged to my credit card.
