On January 8, 2026, I purchased an Oppo A5 smartphone from the Vatan Computer Niğde Central branch, believing that its 6000 mAh battery capacity would provide long-lasting battery life. However, shortly after I started using the device, I experienced excessive battery drain and overheating issues. Even with normal usage, the phone’s battery is completely depleted within approximately 8 hours.
Due to these issues, on January 12, 2026, I sent the phone to KVK authorized service under warranty through Vatan Computer customer service. After the service process, I was informed that third-party applications could cause freezing, lagging, and excessive battery consumption, and that I should avoid such apps. However, there are no third-party applications on my phone that could cause these problems. The service report stated that only the latest software was installed, general checks and maintenance were performed, and the device was considered normal compared to similar models, after which the phone was returned to me. In addition, although the phone has never been used without a case, the service report claimed that there were minor surface scratches.
Since the battery drain and overheating problems continue, and because the Vatan Computer representative stated, “We can only send it to the service,” I believe I have been unfairly treated. I am absolutely not receiving the performance I expected from this product, and the issue has not been resolved. I request that my grievance be resolved by returning the phone and issuing a full refund. Otherwise, I would like to state that I will file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
