There is a 2x Price Gap for Opel Services in Turkey

I contacted the authorized service center in Üsküdar, close to my home, to schedule a service for my Opel Crossland X (2020 model) at 45,000 km. When I inquired about the cost, they quoted a price of 7,500₺. Since this amount seemed too high to me, I decided to call the dealer in Eyüp. The Eyüp dealer offered the same maintenance service for 3,800₺. I was baffled by this significant price difference and reached out to Opel's contact center for clarification. They explained that such disparities are normal due to the competitive nature of the market between service centers. In essence, a 100% price difference between two dealers is considered normal. Subsequently, I received a follow-up call from Opel after filing a complaint record. They reiterated that this situation was within the norm and inquired if I had any further questions before ending the call. Had I accepted the initial 7,500₺ as reasonable, I would have needlessly paid an extra 3,700₺ for the same service. If you intend to use an authorized service, I strongly recommend seeking quotes from multiple dealers. Additionally, I registered a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee about the discrepancy between the advertised price of 3,799₺ on their website and the actual offering. This incident has eroded my trust in Opel Turkey, and I condemn their actions.
