Obilet Passenger Charged Twice After Bus Left Before Departure Time
On 11 June 2026 I purchased two tickets via Obilet for the Lüleburgaz–Edirne bus scheduled for 06:55. I was at the bus terminal at 06:55, yet I was told that the bus had already departed. Despite being on time, they informed me that my bus had left and stated that they would issue the same ticket for the same price again, and they charged me the ticket fee once more. At the counter I was told, “You are an Obilet passenger, we cannot help you” and the same ticket was issued again for the same price, so I paid twice for the same trip. After this, I contacted Obilet customer service. I was repeatedly told that they could not reach the bus company and therefore my ticket could not be refunded. I called many times, but the company could not be reached for a long period. Only around 21:00 in the evening were they finally able to reach the company, and I was told that “the captain stated the departure time was 07:00.” However, I was already at the terminal at 06:55 and the bus had already left by then. This situation clearly contradicts what I experienced and caused me to pay a total of ₺560 for the same journey. I request the immediate refund of the full amount I paid and that this company, with which you are in collaboration, be seriously warned so that other passengers are not victimized in the same way. I am filing a complaint against the company and expect Obilet to take responsibility for this issue and to resolve my refund process without any further delay.
