I Face Notion Business Plan Refund Denial After Canceling Annual Subscription
I purchased an annual Notion Business plan on January 14, 2026, and paid $288 for this transaction. After the purchase, I tried to actively use Notion in my workflow, but I realized that the platform was much more complicated than I expected. Even setting up a simple task management system or process tracking workflow requires lengthy and detailed configurations, and I found that many features require extensive manual setup.
I also noticed that some important features related to automation and workflow management were missing. Because of this, I was unable to use the system efficiently and sustainably. After realizing this issue, I contacted Notion’s support team and requested a refund. They informed me that their refund policy is limited to 30 days and that no flexibility is provided beyond this period. However, less than two months had passed since my purchase date, and I was not offered any exception or solution-oriented support.
Following the support team’s recommendation, I downgraded my workspace to the free plan. Despite this, I was told that a partial refund or account credit for the unused subscription period was not possible. My main concern is not only the refusal of a full refund; I expected at least a refund for the unused months or a reasonable alternative solution. Especially for small businesses, these costs can represent a significant expense, and I believe a more flexible and customer-focused approach should be adopted.
I request that the Notion team reassess my situation and take action by providing either a partial refund for the unused subscription period or crediting my account with an appropriate amount.
