Nissan Demands 70% Cost for Transmission Issue That They Ignored for 2 Years

August 28, 2024 1:15 PM21

On these hot summer days, when I turn on the air conditioning, as soon as I take my foot off the brake, the car almost stalls, and the RPM starts to rise again. All jokes aside, the increasing number of malfunctions over time has really started to bother me. The Adana OKAR service representatives, who do their job with integrity, initially said that the issue was caused by the transmission and related parts. Greetings to the dear service staff in İskenderun; for 2 years, they couldn't find the problem, didn’t want to find it, were afraid to say it, or due to their incompetence, couldn’t identify any malfunction in my car. However, despite the Adana NISSAN OKAR service representatives stating that the issue was related to the transmission and connected parts, and it’s clear that the defect is entirely due to the manufacturer, they are unjustly demanding 70% of the total cost from me to replace the transmission and related parts. I went to the Nissan service in İskenderun several times while the car was still under warranty. For 2 years, that is 25,000 km (my car is now around 44,000 km), Nissan didn’t acknowledge that the problem was on their end. Now that the warranty has expired, they shamelessly admit their mistake and, under the guise of "goodwill," expect me to cover 70% of the cost. (By the way, how can an automatic transmission car have so many issues in such a short time? If Nissan makes automatic transmissions with such a short lifespan, they should at least warn us when selling the car: "We couldn't manage to make an automatic transmission that doesn't break down within 2 years, so buy it with that in mind." Then we’d know that we need to replace the transmission within 2 years.) Otherwise, this is what happens; for 2 years, the service staff covers up the issue with lies, and then, without shame, they insultingly try to make people pay 70% of the cost. You’ve dragged this out for 2 years, and admitted your fault. I request that you resolve the issue by fixing the car without charging me and providing a replacement car during the repair. I request that you rectify my grievance. Nissan has unjustly and unfairly risked my safety for 2 years with a faulty transmission and sold me a defective product. Now, without shame, they are demanding 70% of the transmission replacement cost from me. I demand that the repair of my car be done at no cost.

Are you kidding me? You sold me a defective product and now you're asking for money to repair it. Your response seems to be telling us not to trust you and buy a vehicle from you again, implying that our safety is not important to you.
