Brand-New Nissan Qashqai Had Paintwork!
In 2022, I purchased a brand-new Nissan Qashqai from Nissan Artky in Izmir. In 2025, when I decided to sell the car, an inspection report revealed that the area around the fuel cap had been painted. I had never been in an accident or done any bodywork. This means the car was already painted before it was delivered to me as new. As a result, I had to sell it at a reduced price, suffering a financial loss. I reported the issue to Nissan Artky. They acknowledged the situation but said they couldn’t inspect the vehicle in Erzurum due to a lack of proper equipment (micron measurement device). They suggested either bringing the vehicle to Izmir or waiting for their paint partner to visit Erzurum — but nothing happened. It's been over 2–3 months with no resolution. Nissan Turkey has not taken any responsibility. Despite this, I remained loyal to the brand and bought another brand-new Nissan Qashqai in 2025 from Nissan Yüzbaşıoğlu in Istanbul. This time, I had to get a paint thickness check before accepting delivery, because I no longer trust the process. A painted vehicle being sold as "brand new" is a serious issue. I expect the following from Nissan Turkey and the relevant dealership: Formal recognition of this defect, Compensation for the financial loss I incurred, Immediate improvements in inspection and delivery processes. If Nissan does not stand behind its own vehicles, customer trust will be lost. I hope this matter will finally be taken seriously.
