Nissa Car Rental Cancels Booking After Insurance Refusal
On November 14, 2025, I rented a Fiat-brand vehicle from Nissa Car Rental with reservation number ysb372929, paying $179 USD for the rental. Despite having a very high Findeks credit score, they refused to deliver the vehicle, claiming there was a delay in my payment history. It was very clear to me that their real intention was to sell me an expensive car insurance package; when I refused to accept the insurance, they canceled the agreement and left me stranded at the airport. The staff’s attitude was extremely negative, with remarks such as “Go wherever you want, the door is right there.”
Attempts to resolve the issue through the agency were unsuccessful. Because we had to meet our arriving guest at the airport, search for another vehicle in cold weather, and were unable to find an affordable alternative, all of our plans fell apart and we had a very difficult night. Although the refund of the amount I paid was approved, it has still not been credited to my account.
When I spoke with customer service, I was told that this behavior was due to company policy. However, in my view, this approach is completely misleading: they attract customers with low prices and then try to force high-cost insurance at the agency; if you refuse, they deny the vehicle using various excuses. Despite my high Findeks score and having rented cars many times without any issues, this was the first time I experienced such treatment. No alternative solution or compromise was offered.
The reason I am writing this complaint is to warn others so they do not fall for the low prices at Nissa Car Rental and end up being victimized like I was. I am not expecting a solution from the company; I simply want to prevent others from experiencing the same situation.
