I purchased a pair of New Balance 530 sneakers in August, and although I expected the mesh material to be delicate, I’m still shocked at how quickly it deteriorated. Despite not wearing them at all during the winter months, the mesh sections on the shoes have already torn. In total, I’ve worn them for no more than three months—and even then, only occasionally.
A premium-priced shoe from a trusted brand like New Balance should not fall apart this quickly, especially under such light use. I chose this model for its design and comfort, but clearly, durability was not part of the package. I take good care of my shoes, and yet I’m now left with a pair that’s visibly damaged and unwearable.
I’m asking New Balance to stand behind their product and offer a replacement or a repair solution. This level of quality is not acceptable, and other buyers should be warned before investing in a model that fails to deliver on durability.
