Nautica Shirt’s Collar Stained Black After One Wear & Won’t Come Off

I bought a Nautica shirt and wore it just once, only to notice an odd stain on the collar. At first, I assumed it was a perfume stain, but after getting home and trying to clean it, it wouldn’t come off at all. Is this a defect in the fabric, or did something happen to it later? The collar turned black, and no matter what I try, the stain won’t fade.
