MyIQ Unwanted, Misleading Subscription
Today I was charged $32.72 by a company called MyIQ through my Cash App account, even though I did not knowingly sign up for a paid subscription. I only realized what was happening when I received a payment notification at around 7:40 pm. I later found an email from MyIQ stating there was a 7‑day trial, but this was not something I clearly understood or intended to start as a paid subscription, and I feel the way it was presented was very misleading. After noticing the charge, I contacted Cash App support, and they helped me block MyIQ so that no further payments can be taken from my account. I then went back to the email from MyIQ and followed the steps to cancel the subscription so it would not continue. While I accept that I should have read the email more carefully, I believe the sign‑up process and the way the trial converts to a paid subscription are not clear and can easily mislead people, as I have seen that others have had similar experiences. In light of this, I am requesting a refund of the $32.72 that was taken from my account, because I did not knowingly agree to a recurring paid subscription and cancelled it as soon as I realized what was happening. I also ask that MyIQ review and improve the clarity of its trial and subscription information so that other users are not misled in the same way.
