On January 25, I took an IQ test on a website called MyIQ and paid $1 with my Enpara card just to access the test. During this process, I did not create any membership, I did not approve any subscription, and I believed I was making a one-time payment only.
However, on February 1, I noticed that $30 had been charged to my Enpara credit card without my knowledge or authorization. As a result, I had to cancel all of my cards and online banking access. I can no longer see the transaction details, but I recall that the company name associated with the charge was MyIQ.
When I contacted Enpara customer service, I was informed that the transaction was still pending (in pre-authorization), and therefore I could not immediately file a dispute. They told me I would need to wait until the charge is fully processed before submitting a formal chargeback request. I only made a one-time $1 payment to this company and did not authorize any membership or recurring charge. I absolutely do not accept the unauthorized $30 withdrawal from my card.
I am requesting a full refund of the unauthorized $30 charge, the cancellation of any memberships or subscriptions that may have been created without my consent, and a proper investigation to protect other users from experiencing similar issues. Otherwise, I will proceed with filing a formal chargeback dispute and submitting a criminal complaint to the appropriate authorities to exercise my legal rights.
