MyHeritage Unauthorized Charges and Refund Request

Dear MyHeritage Support Team, Approximately five weeks ago, I purchased a DNA kit from MyHeritage. At that time, I signed up for the free membership. However, after one month, €121 was withdrawn from my bank account without my authorization. The same issue occurred with my roommate, who purchased the kit around the same time. Two days after my account was charged, the same amount was also withdrawn from my roommate’s account. We never received any notification or email from MyHeritage informing us that such a charge would occur. Furthermore, we did not register our bank cards on the platform, so it is unclear how our payment information was stored and used for these unauthorized charges. I immediately canceled the subscription and contacted your customer service. However, I was informed that only €18.30 including VAT could be refunded. This is unacceptable, as the full amount was taken without my consent. I hereby request a full refund of the remaining amount and an explanation of how my bank details were obtained and charged without my permission. This experience has been extremely disappointing and has caused a loss of trust in your service.
