Monster Energy Promo Gifts Out of Stock on First Day, Misled My Child

On April 19, 2025, I went shopping at Viaport 5M Migros with my child. There was a promotional stand for Monster Energy drinks. Since Monster is a brand we regularly buy (and my child even collects all the cans from different flavors), we also made some purchases at the stand.

My child really wanted a Monster Energy cap as a gift. Around 4:00 PM, the staff member at the stand told us that the caps were already out of stock, and that only bandanas and notebooks were left. However, he promised that a new shipment of caps would arrive the next day (April 20, 2025). He even specifically advised us to come around 10:00 AM, or better yet at 12:00 noon to be sure, and guaranteed that if the caps did not arrive, he would give us multiple other gifts instead.

Excited by this, we went back the next day (April 20) as a family. But to our disappointment, the staff member who promised us the cap was not there. Another employee confirmed with management and told us that no shipment of caps or other gifts was coming at all.

This was extremely frustrating. Not only did we waste our Sunday going there based on false information, but more importantly, my child was deeply disappointed after waiting eagerly for the gift. It is shocking that a brand as big as Monster Energy would organize a two-day promotional campaign and run out of gifts on the very first day by 4 PM.

This shows very poor planning and customer care. Instead of making fans happy, Monster Energy left us frustrated and disappointed. I expect the company to take responsibility and make up for this mistake, especially since it negatively impacted children.
