Mizuno Running Shoes Torn After Seven Months

On 07.10.2025 I purchased a Mizuno running shoe with model number K1GA241051-43, size 43, from the Mizuno Turkey e‑commerce site for ₺2,400. I used the shoe only occasionally, on soft running tracks and in the fitness center on similarly soft floors. After approximately seven months of use, an oval tear and hole about the size of a 10‑kuruş coin appeared on the inner lower right side of the right heel. I do not find it normal that such a deformation occurs in such a short time in a running shoe used only on non‑hard surfaces, and I consider this to be a production defect. In the first days of March 2026, I sent the product to Mizuno for inspection. After an examination period of about one month, I was informed in writing that the problem was considered “customer fault” and my request was rejected. It was very disappointing for me that no repair or concrete solution was offered and that the issue was simply labeled as customer fault. Even if it is evaluated as customer fault from Mizuno’s perspective, I would have at least expected the product to be repaired and sent back to me under more solution‑oriented conditions. I specifically chose the Mizuno brand believing that it would be high quality and long‑lasting, but due to this negative experience I am not considering choosing the brand again. I request that the problem with my product be re‑evaluated within the scope of production defect, that the inspection decision be reviewed, and that the return of the shoe and refund of the money I paid be accepted.
