Miele G 76XX XXL Dishwasher Basket Corrosion After Two Years


I purchased a Miele G 76** XXL dishwasher in 2024 in Turkey from an official Miele store. Together with this dishwasher, I also bought around six other Miele machines such as ovens and a dryer, specifically because I considered Miele a premium and long‑lasting brand. After only about two years of use, I have noticed corrosion on the baskets of my dishwasher. The corrosion is clearly visible on the baskets and it has appeared far earlier than I would ever expect from a premium brand. With my previous dishwasher, which was from Bosch, I did not experience such a problem even after around ten years of use, so this situation with Miele is very disappointing for me. I contacted Miele/service about the corroded baskets and was offered replacement baskets, but the price requested was extremely high, even higher than the cost of some entire dishwashers from other brands. My warranty has already expired, but I still find it unreasonable that the baskets of a high‑end Miele dishwasher start corroding after such a short period. I kindly request a free replacement of the corroded baskets or a customer‑oriented solution that reflects Miele’s premium brand image and the fact that I have chosen Miele for multiple appliances in my home. I expect this issue to be taken seriously and handled as a question of product quality and customer satisfaction, not only warranty dates.
