Midjourney image quality drops on complex scenes — how can I improve clarity?

When generating complex scenes, start by clearly prioritizing the main subject early in the prompt, because Midjourney allocates detail based on prompt order and emphasis. Use phrases like “main focus” or “sharp foreground subject” to prevent visual noise.

Reduce ambiguity by breaking complexity into descriptive structure rather than adding many ideas at once. Too many competing elements cause the model to average details, which results in softness and artifacts.

Increase clarity by using higher-quality parameters such as --quality 2, --stylize at moderate levels, and higher resolutions when available. These settings give the model more computation time to resolve fine details.

If scenes remain unclear, generate separate elements first and refine using variations instead of one long prompt.

These are key solutions that we can offer. If you have more, please share.
