On August 15, 2024, a Meta support expert called regarding my ad account (ID: 119004194918842) and advised me to run ads through Meta instead of Instagram. To demonstrate, the expert created a trial ad and assured me it would not go live. However, this ad did go live, running indefinitely without my knowledge.
Yesterday, I discovered the issue with the help of a friend experienced with Meta ads. To my shock, ₺28,356.33 had been charged to my account for this unauthorized ad. This was not my mistake but a clear error on the part of the Meta expert. I demand an immediate refund for this charge and expect Meta to take responsibility for their support team’s actions.
